Most all of these will go for sale on Etsy. I’m thinking of using a couple of them on eBay. The last picture is a variety of hand made spindles. I will have a detailed feature of those soon.

I was on the Etsy Showcase today(2-3-07.) I didn’t see as much activity as I would have liked, but I will concede that the store is not stocked as well as it should be. The good news is that I have purchased more dyes to dye with. The bad news is that I am running out of fibers to dye. I also gained a few hearts which is nice, it means maybe I will see people back.
In other news, my spinning group is Sunday and I will (hopefully) have a chance to try out 2-3 wheels that I am interested in. Then, if the tax money holds out any… I will be able to buy one. Wish me luck!

There have been a few listings posted over the last week. The apprentice and I have been hard at work dying fibers, washing the raw stuff as well as sorting and organizing in general. The next immediate goal is to list these things.
Here is the newest listing: Strawberry Shortcake
10% off the price of the above listing after visiting the blog. Just type FFYR2 at checkout and wait for an adjusted invoice. (Offer good through January 15, 2007)
More dyed fiber, sock yarn and handspun to come. Stay tuned!

4 oz dyed roving:
Hand-dyed sock yarn:
I am particularly excited about the second listing. After some persuasion, my husband is going to get involved with the store. He will be able to work on dying fibers, roving, sock yarn and such. He will also be taking pictures and listing items. Hopefully this will encourage more frequent listings.
Check it out for yourself!

I dyed some roving a couple of weekends ago and just really got a chance to spin it up. The yarn is spun thick and thin but I don’t know what else I should do with it. I was thinking of plying it, but I am not sure. I am open to suggestions though.

Isn’t that the title of a website or something. Well, I pulled out a pound of corriedale roving that I purchased and I am attempting to recreate the Crockpot dying method in a stockpot on the stove. I hope I don’t get a mucky mess, it is 1 whole pound after all. I am not sure if I will spin it, or divide it for sale or both. Its the waiting that kills me, three hours to heat through and sitting overnight to cool. I only used the basic red, blue, yellow and black for some variations. I’m afraid I may have to much water though. I will post pictures when its done but hopefully its not another incident like the sock yarn. That was kind of ugly.

I’m wondering if this makes anyone think of thunderstorms. It kind of feels that way to me, but I know what I am looking for.
Swatches!
