So I recreated this roving and have a single on the bobbin right now. I will be getting a ball winder so that I can ply this back on itself. See, I have pictures!

I’m excited about the results of it. Also, I’ve been getting some sage advice from Etsy seller KnittyDirtyGirl (see link on side bar.) I am going to do the other half and hope to get a much tighter ply.

Things didn’t turn out as expected and the weather was a bit colder that I would have liked. However, lots of people seemed interested in the art that is spinning. I count that as a victory any day. As a result, I also have plenty of new roving to list on Etsy in the coming days as well as hand-painted, hand-crafted spindles.

As a bonus, I got to meet my first fellow Etsy seller. Felicia of Fluffyflowers was there and it was great to meet her. She has the cutest things at http://FluffyFlowers.etsy.com.

Check back in the next few days as I upload pictures of the rovings and do a short feature on the new spindles that I will be adding to the store.
